Welcome to another Paper Hoarders Design Team day!!! I am soo excited about the projects these ladies did. I know, I always say that, but WOW!! They blow me away with their creativity!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!

Welcome to my blog.. glad to have ya... today I will show you a few goodies I made. Having a lil guy in pre-school allows me to make the lil cute goodies for the kiddos. ( my older kids do NOT like me to make treats for school..LOL ) The teachers always love their goodies and look forward to them. I'm always tickled to be able to give them a lil something for all the hard work they do.

I also made a couple cards. My hubby is a great guy and although he wouldn't care if I didn't make him a card, I know he appreciates the time I take to make him one. I also made my daughter's boyfriend a lil card too. LOL..

These lil gems were made using a die from My Creative Time. I LOVE this bubble gum die!! It is soo easy to use AND I can put through my Cuddlebug.

This card is inspired by a card in the Stampers Sampler magazine. Diana Britt did a FAB job, but of course, I tweeked it a bit to my liking. Again, I used a die from My Creative Time. This is from the 100% Sweetness set. I love how the stamp sits perfectly in the die!! The LOVE stamp is a CTMH stamp set that I just LOVE, called State of Mind.

This is the card for my daughter's boyfriend. I also used My Creative Time 100% Sweetness stamp set on this as well. Isn't that tic tac toe sooo cute??

Hi everyone!!! Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Most of you know my lil sister passed away Dec 6 and it has been a hard time for all of us. We have had a BIG adjustment in our home and the routine is slowly getting there. I lost my groove for a bit but am trying to find it.

The first project I did was a journal for my mom. I wanted to make her something special to write her thoughts and feelings in with the hopes of helping her heal. She LOVES the book!!! What do you think??

Guest Designer for Ooh lala vintage treasures!!

Hi ya'll and welcome to my blog. I'm so excited about today's post!!!

I was asked by Patti to be a guest designer for her 12 Days of Christmas. I was soo excited!! The best part.. I got to craft with my lil guy!!! We did KID CRAFTS!!! I love spending crafty time with my kiddos and I hope our post will inspire YOU to spend time with your kiddos in your craft room!! You can find the other posts for her 12 Days of Christmas HERE

Ok.. here we go!!!

I made this CUTE lil frame that is perfect for anyone in your child's life. I know a certain mamaw that will be getting this wreath!!

This is SUPER easy and can be altered in so many ways!!! Here's a few directions!!

1. Punch or Cut with your Cricut.. 3 diff sized squares... or whatever shape you would like.( 24 total) this will be 6 of each kind and 3 of each color.

2. Assemble by alternating color pieces and gluing them together at 90 degree intervals.( OR.. Use a hole punch and a brad and brad them together as I did) Punch a 1/16th hole ( hole punch) at both top corners.

3.Using your Cricut, punch, or even hole punch.. punch out 9 red 1/4" circles and 3 red 1/2 " circles.

4. In the center of the layered scallops ( squares above) , glue 3 grouped 1/4" red circles. Place it on every other one.

5. Next, glue the 1/2" circles to the center of the other scalloped squares.

6. Add little highlight to the circles with a white pen. Add a photo and then tie a bow.. Ta Da...

Our next project was done by my lil guy Colton. He LOVES crafting!!! This is pic heavy !!

Supplies:

Get your plate ready...

Cut a circle in the center. We traced the ribbon roll and cut around it. Mommy did this part.

Put glue on the whole thing. Be sure to get the outside edge and center.

Put a sheet of green tissue paper over the plate.

Cut the center and around the outside paper off.

Cut or tear lots of lil squares from the green tissue paper( we used shiny green that has to be cut) for the "holly" leaves.

Folding the corners together, glue the "middle" to the plate.

Tear little pieces of the res tissue paper and roll into little balls. My lil guy made quite a few BIG balls. hehe

Glue the balls to the wreath. Add a pretty bow. Using the pipe cleaners, tape to the back to make it hang. Ta Da.. A gorgeous wreath every lil person will be proud of!!

What a GREAT gift for anyone!! ( This can be altered so many different ways by adding more layers, different shapes and colors)

Now.. onto some personal bloggy time. I know I don't usually do this, but today is a special day and I wanted to share something with you all. I hope Colton's story can inspire some of you who may have a lil one, or a big one, who doesn't "talk" like the others.

Happy 4th Birthday Colton!!
Today is also my lil man's 4th birthday!! Wow has time flied!!! Seems like just yesterday he was born. He has and still is overcoming many obstacles most lil 4 year olds don't have to worry about. My lil guy has Apraxia , which is a speech disorder. He has came a LONG way and I am sooo proud to be his mommy. I want to include a couple videos I took of him.. more for just me, but to share with you. HERE is a link to Colton's page on the Cherab site. You can read the updates and watch additional videos. Here are a couple videos of my lil guy. The first one is before he started taking Nutrii Veda and the other only 4 short months later. WOW!!! I am sooo proud of my lil man!!

My lil guy is in pre-school and really enjoys it. He gets therapy twice a week and really enjoys it. Here is my lil guy now. Isn't he such a cutie!!

Thankful thursday Design Team

Welcome !! Today is our Design Team day over at Crazy About Cricut. This weeks challenge was to make something that was Halloween Decor. Well.. I had an awesome idea and.. had a GREAT helper... My HUBBY!!! He is such a great sport!!

So, what do you think??? Here's what we did. We got a wooden board from Michales and painted the edges black. Then decoupaged the paper on it. Since I had no more black black vinyl, I had to cut out on my Cricut. I then Mod Podged everything. I used a piece of ribbon and hot glued it to the back. Easy Peasy!! The best part... I crafted with my hubby!!! Here's your challenge... go get YOUR loved one involved.

Fall/Halloween Blog Hop

My project is a lil "mummy" jack 'o lantern. I used a gauze and inked it with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo. I just LOVE the way it looks. I used Crafty Sprouts stamp set Totally Witchin for the sentiment. I cut a lil piece of yellow paper to give the eyes, nose and mouth a lil "glow" to them.

What's a blog hop without Blog candy?? How about this Fall flower set? I LOVE fall colors and hope you will like this as well. This is hand made by me and will ship in a box. Kimi's Baby Shower Blog Hop

I have the months of March and April and also prettying up the front of the album with my hand made flowers. I am so honored to have done this for one of my bestest friends. Well, Halloween right around the corner.. PERFECT!!! So, my daughter had an idea to make lil man a monster mask!!! He loves masks and costumes and such.

My poor lil man ...( graphic pics.. not for weak tummies)

Hi ya'll.. Happy to have you.

Well, last night my lil guy had a lil fall which resulted in 3 stitches outside and 2 inside. This is his FIRST trip to the ER. His tooth went right through his bottom lip!!! He was such a trooper!! He laid still and never even cried when he was getting stitched up!! Daddy told him to stop talking because he was making it bleed and Colton said " I like talking daddy".. This is BIG for him. I am a REALLY proud mommy.

The inside of his lip .. which took 2 stitches.. ( DON'T look if you are weak tummied) This is the LEAST nasty looking pic.

He did such a good job... he got a popsicle and was even in a good mood playing around with daddy..

Today, his lip is still VERY swollen. He isn't letting it stop him tho. He has been running around playing and I've been right behind him ready to catch him!!! I am very proud of my lil guy.

Well, we go to his Ped in 6-7 days to get the external stitches removed. Btw.. he LOVES the BLUE stitches!! He is so big and mommy is soo proud of you bubby!!!

Imagine: Hopscotch Card

Hello and welcome back. Today I have a card to show you that I made a while back and never blogged it. (actually I have ALOT I haven't showed anyone.. who knew?) Anyways.. a few crafty friends have been inquiring about the Imagine and I'm always the first to say.... I LOVE MINE!!! I still do think my favorite feature that it has and the other Cricut machines don't.. the PRINTING feature. I love the papers you can print as well as adding RGB codes. I know as long as I have white paper.. I'll never run out of the same pattern paper!!

I made this card to send to my cousin, who is on a ship somewhere, to send his lil man so he knew his daddy was thinking of him. This is a simple card, but.. what lil 3 year old wouldn't just love it!!

How easy is that!!! You don't have to print the whole page the same either!! You can select a shape from the preloaded designs on the Imagine and fill the color you want.. then just size it to what you need!!! Easy peasy!! I hope you will drag out your Imagine and play around as well.

Our 6th Wedding Anniversary

Hello ya'll and thanks for visiting. Today is a special day for my hubby and I as we celebrate 6 wonderful years as husband and wife. We have made it through more trials and tribulations than most married couples endure their whole marriage, but.. we have been strong enough to make it through. Our kids were little and so excited about us being together. Here are some pictures of our AWESOME Wedding Day!! (The card I made for hubby at the end)

Hey ya'll and WELCOME back!! I hope you were inspired by Gina's lay out yesterday and we have MORE for you today!! I am LOVING these lay outs. WOW!! They all did a great job!!

The theme was Fall and as an added twist.. had to include at least two of the following colors: red, orange,yellow, brown, or gold.

Thankful Thursday DT : PIRATES

Hello !! Welcome back to another Thankful Thursday hosted by Crazy About Cricut. This weeks project was all about PIRATES!!! So, what better project for my lil man and I. ( as if my teenage daughter has any interest anyways.. hehe ) Anyways, my lil man and I had a BLAST with this. He has a new LOVE for Helmar "bloo". We really made big messes, but even BIGGER memories. I got the idea HERE but tweeked it to fit us.

Here ya go... This will be VERY picture heavy!! I just loved them all!!!

We printed the templates off the site above and gathered a few other materials : a box, colored cardstock, Helmar glues, scissors, and score pal.

My lil guy colored the "hardware" from the printables.

Colton had a BLAST with Helmar Acid Free Glue. He glued the yellow and spread while I added the black to the outside and red (velvet) on the inside.

I used 2 different sized circle puches and made "gold coins". I used Helmar Acid Free glue to adhere inside the chest.

The "KEEP OUT", key, lock, and handles are all from the printable.

What PIRATE Chest is complete without a PIRATE??

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is FULL of fun holidays and silly days like "Pirate Day".. but did you know September is also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month?? Yepper.. it is.. Most of you know about lil Aidan. He is 4 years old and is battling Leukemia. He was diagnosed Feb of this year. Although he has had his ups and downs, he is really staying tough. I did a card drive for him a few months back and the reply was overwhelming!! I was soo happy I cried!! Aidan loved all of his cards and his parents were totally thrilled that people who didn't even know him took the time to make him a special card.

Here is an excerpt from Aidan's web page:

"Help Aidan beat Cancer!

	Aidan has fought life from the very beginning at a birth weight of 2lbs 1oz. He survived and was a healthy happy boy. But on Feb. 7, he was diagnosed with (ALL) Leukemia. The day he was diagnosed his blood was 99% infected with Leukemia cells and would have passed away within 3 days. With the help of Kosairs nurses and doctors he is making progress. But, it will be a long road to recovery."

So, here's the challenge. I also posted this in the FB Paper Hoarders group, but decided to open it to everyone who had time to send a smile. What do you do??? You make a card for Aidan and mail it to me ON or BEFORE Oct. 1 ... I will pick a RANDOM winner from the cards received to win : Helmar 450, laces, and flowers. ( I'll even make a few and send) .. Another Flower...

Woo Hoo!! TWO posts in one day ;) Welcome back AGAIN to some of you and to the others.. be sure to scroll down for the post I made earlier. It's a CUTE girl birthday card.

Well, I'm LOVIN the McGill punches and made another flower with them yesterday. For now, I'm just making them basic... Not adding all the pretty bling on them until I can get them down pat. They are EASY to make and a GREAT thing to work on while watching TV. ;)

Ok.. here it is :

I didn't tuck the stamen in deep enough and prolly should have inked it a light pink or yellow... but hey.. I'm still learning. I hope you give these a try as well. You can scroll down to see how they have changed and this is only my THIRD one!!! Go get ya punches and try it!!

My FIRST Flowers..

Hello my dear scrappy friends and family!! Welcome to my little scrappy place.

Some of you saw know I've been playing around with McGill Punches. I was hesitant to buy them at first thinking I wouldn't be able to make such pretty roses.. but.. I bought anyways and having an online coupon .. why not. So.. I played yesterday and well.. I have ALOT more practice to do, but I did better than I thought. So.. if you always wanted to make your own flowers.... GO FOR IT!!! If I can do it.. SO CAN YOU!!!

This was my first try. Looks kinds THIN.. I Tattered Angels "sprayed" this. The leaves are paint. Ehh.. It's ok..

This is the second one!! I used SU paper and inked all the petals. I added a stamen. Looks a little more "real".

So.. what do you think?? Go get ya some McGill punches and make some flowers!! This is GREAT to do while watching tv !!

Happy 40th Anniversary Mama Lovebug!!!

Hello everyone and welcome back!!!

As you can tell, this post is a SPECIAL one for a SPECIAL lady and her wonderful husband of 40 YEARS!!!

So, Kimi, her daughter, and I met during a VERY stressful "competition" hosted by PC and Jinger Adams. When she won, I was HONORED to be the first one to congratulate her!!! There was no one more deserving and I was tickled pink for her. Anyways.. we chatted and got to know each other and then mama sent me a sweet message about my friendship with Kimi. She is the sweetest lady and she has "adopted" me as a daughter as well. :) She is a great wife, mother, grandma!! So... Kimi said she wanted to SURPRISE mom with projects from herself, me, and our other good friend Zeni. We were all tickled pink to do it and hope this truly IS a surprise for her. We love you mama lovebug and hope this special surprise adds to your SPECIAL DAY!!!

Update on AIDAN and what 1 woman is doing to help raise money for the doctor bills!!!

Hey there and welcome back. I apologize again for not blogging much lately. I have had computer issues as well as MOJO issues. I DO have something VERY important to share with you.

Here is an update on Aidan from his mommy...

"Aidan will be starting a new phase of treatment on July 25th as long as his counts have recovered by then! This phase is called Delayed Intensification and it should last about 22 days as long as he has no illnesses arise. So we are praying for no sickness! After this phase is complete and his counts recover again he should go into MAINTENANCE!!!!! We have been praying for this for so long! He will be in the maintenance phase for 2 and a half years but during maintenance our lives should become somewhat normal again!!! He should get to go back to school and should only have to go in for chemo once a month!!! Thanks everyone for your continued prayers and please keep them coming! We are praying that we can stay on track!"

On September 17, 2011, I will be running the Air Force Half Marathon in support of Aidan Harris and his family. He is an adorable little four year old (with a smile that can melt any heart) who is fighting a hard battle and he needs our help!

Aidan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on February 7, 2011.
After testing, it was discovered that his white blood cell count was over 700,000 and his Leukemia levels were at 99%. Aidan’s treatment started the day after his diagnosis and he will continue chemotherapy treatments over the next 3 years.

Aidan and his parents, Jessica and Jeremy live in my hometown of Leitchfield, Kentucky. When I first read about his diagnosis and his long road ahead, I knew that I needed to do something to help them. I have been running for a couple of years now and have decided to put it to good use. I may not be fast, but I can get from Start to Finish. I will run the 13.1 miles in honor of Aidan and do it proudly!

Here is what I need you to do…I am sending out a plea to all of my friends, family, your friends and family, neighbors, co-workers, anyone who reads this to please sponsor my RUN FOR AIDAN. Any amount is greatly appreciated! All donations will go directly to the Harris family to help with medical expenses.

Hello everyone and welcome to another Thankful Thursday Design Team Post. This week was a stumper as we were suppose to make something related to "Summer Movie". My hubby and I took our lil man to see Cars 2 a couple weeks ago and REALLY enjoyed it!! My son was sooo excited about POPCORN!!! So, what's a movie without POPCORN??? My daughter and her friend crafting away!!!

Hello everyone and welcome back. :) I've not been feeling well so I have nothing to offer you in terms of craftiness, BUT... my daughter and her friend have had it going on. They had a BLAST!!

Here are some pics of what they made.

Haylee(left) and Candace (my daughter) cleaning up a lil project with a file.

Didn't they do GREAT!!!!

They also made a Father's Day card and a charm bracelet using Shrinky Dinks!! They went to town with these lil charms!!!

BOTH of the cards were "inspired" by cards the girls found in one of my magazines. I apologize for not knowing which ones and am not able to give proper credit.

Father's Day card to match the mini

Hello everyone!! Welcome back!! Glad to have ya. :)

So, I hope you saw my mini yesterday for my hubby and well, I had to make a card that matched. :) I fought with this card for a while. I wanted it to be SIMPLE, MATCH the mini, and... have a MAN touch to it!! I think I captured them all in this card. Hope you like it.

Hello everyone!!! WELCOME to another Thankful Thursday!! Our DT project this week was to make something for Father's Day that was NOT a card. Well, Jenny really put us to the test with this one. I made a lil mini album for my hubby using one piece of 12 X 12 paper for the base. My friend Glenda, at Paper Crafting Mania posted on our message board a couple videos and WOW.. SUPER cute Kid card

Hello there and WELCOME BACK to my blog!! I have the CUTEST lil monkey card to show you today. I had a BLAST making it!!

This card, and several others I previously blogged about, will be sent to a Navy ship man who has a wife and a 2 yr old son. I made the cards SIMPLE and as "flat" as possible so he could mail them back home to his lil guy. I hope this card brings a smile to your face. I know it does mine EVERY time I look at it.

Hey ya'll and welcome back!! I have a cute lil card to share with you today. I just love the lil Fork & Spoon on the Better Together Cart. This was SUPER easy and can be used in SOOOO many ways!! I hope you like it.

The paper are all printed on the Imagine( except the base).. I LOVE how the Imagine takes the guess work out of matching papers. I know I spend more time picking papers than anything!! How about you??
