Hero Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the HERO Blog Hop. This is a hop to support and bring awareness to the works of Operation Write Home. In addition to card makers making cards for service persons to send home to their families, OWH has what they call "Hero Mail". These cards can be any size, not just the usual A2 size cards. They also include a note to "ANY Hero". We call them HEROES because OWH covers all branches of the military. These are passed out to deployed heroes who may not get much mail, or just passed out to enjoy news from home. You can find more information  HERE .

You should have arrived here from Misty's Blog. She does great work doesn't she? If you just happened to stumble upon this hop, please start HERE!!!   We will have ALOT of wonderful cards and projects so you won't want to miss a stop!!!  Here is the line-up in case you get lost. :)

Here is my project for this hop. I actually dreamed about the dimension and when I started this card, it came out EXACTLY like it did in my dream!! ( that's a FIRST)  I hope you like it as well as I do.

 Recipe:
Card base:  5 1/2 X 10 1/2  card stock
 Score at  2 1/4, 4 1/2, 6 1/4, 8, 9 1/4
Accordian Fold the scores
I used the following to create my card:
Tim Holtz : Vintage Photo ink
Pink By Design: Music stamp
Paper: Creative Imaginations
SU: Whisper White Card Stock
Corrugated Roller
Cricut Cart: George
Cuttlebug Folder: Stars
Helmar 450
Lollipop Stick

What's a blog hop without BLOG CANDY!!! I have 3 Stampin Up inks for one lucky poster. ( Almost Amethyst, Brilliant Blue, & Bermuda Bay) Please leave a comment and your email so if you win I can contact you. The winner will have 1 week from the time I contact him/her to reply. IF no reply, I will pick another winner. Due to postal charges, this is only open to US residents. ( Sorry.. )  I will pick the winner June 1, 2011.

Thanks for hopping by. Your next stop is the the AMAZING KRISTAL'S Blog . Thanks again for stopping in. Hope to see ya again. :)

Oh my good gravy, but your card is AMAZING! I sometimes dream about cardmaking as well. Think we need a 12 step program? GRIN. This is one of THE most creative cards I've seen in quite a while. I think you should mass produce and sell them, as I would be FIRST in line. My husband is a decorated Vietnam veteran and would so love a card such as this. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
