Hello ya'll and WELCOME BACK!!!
Today is Paper Hoarders Design Team Day and challenge day. Yep, that's new. :) The Design Team has been busy in their sweat shops creating all day and night to bring you these FABULOUS projects!! We did it a little different this time and, while not mandatory, a couple of our designers took the added challenge of using the sketch along with the theme. The theme today was to create something that told a story. The project should reflect a fictional or non-fictional book or life event they have encountered. The book could be anything from Steven King to Dr. Seuss!! Talk about unlimited possibilities. The life event could be anything that has changed their life, good or bad. So, a double challenge. Here is the sketch, if they so chose to play.
The sketch can be found HERE. I LOVE the versatility and selection of their sketches and encourage you to give a sketch a try. Remember, sketches don't have to be followed exactly!!! They are a guide.. there to help.
Here is my project. I chose to do a life event. The event I chose was the loss of my lil sister, Stacey. I have only made a journal, which was for my mom, so this was a bit difficult for me. My card is also about being "GRATEFUL" for the time I had with her and also those that are still in my life.
Both vellum pieces were typed and printed and are from 2 poems read at my sister's service. The pattern paper under the long poem and the butterfly are from "Spring In Bloom" by g.c.d studios. The flowers are Prima. The cardstock is from Recollections. The bird stamp is a Studio G stamp and Grateful and Miss You are CTMH. The bling is also Recollections. Twine from The Twinery.

Oh T! this is beautiful! I'm sure it was hard for you to make, but it helps in always keeping her memory alive. I love how you used the vellum, it really made it elegant. Love you girl!
