DREAM tag

         Hey y'all and welcome back!!
I have been playing around a bit with a few different medias and came up with this "grungy" type tag. Let me tell ya, this was NOT easy for me as I'm a lace and pearls type of girl. I will say that I will definitely play around like this more often. I had no idea what direction I was going in.. I just rolled with it.

What do you think?

What did I do?? Well...(get yourself a beverage.. hehe)

I started with a tag I got from Staples and I put some Gesso on it. I took my floral frog ( don't laugh.. it worked like a charm and I grabbed whatever was closer)  and I "drug" it in the WET Gesso leaving lines. Dry it carefully with a heat gun or let it air dry.  Then, I put a dab of purple paint on my craft mat and sprayed a lil water in it .. using my Fiskars  "corrugated making tool" (no clue what the REAL name is of this tool), I ran a thick piece of card stock through it which left marks like the corrugated part of a cardboard box.( you can see it on the lil flag that has BIG stamped on it) This piece I dabbed in the ink and applied it to my tag. These are the purple line marks you see.( dry with heat gun or air dry)  Next, I pulled out my good 'ole Gina K Designs Stamp and stamped on the right side. I started in the middle of the right side and added a lil to the top right corner and bottom right. I stamped a whole flower on a piece of book text and cut it out. I glued it on the first stamped image. Again, I put a lil green paint on my craft mat and used a baby wipe and "dabbed" on my tag. This was just the color I needed. I used the pink Gellato and rubbed on my mat.. added a spray of water and using my paint brush, added a lil contrast using the lighter pink color. ( dry with heat gun or air dry)   Then... I took more of the purple and using Kinderstampo Stamps I stamped the letters on the dried purple paper and cut out lil boxes. I did add a lil of the pink as well.  I LOVE the different style letters in this set. I used the same piece of the purple corrugated paper I painted and stamped "BIG" in white ink and ink stitched around the lil flag. I inked the edges of the tag with a green. I attached the "DREAM" to the tag with pop dots and then using hot glue.. I attached the GORGEOUS "Sugar Plum" Rumple Ribbon I got from Lovebug Creations. I LOVE LOVE their selection and the prices and shipping times are AMAZING!!! The lil paper clip was from my stash and it fit nicely on the tag. I wanted to remind myself and others to DREAM BIG!! Heck, you never know where it may take you. I added some more of the Lovebug Creations Rumple Ribbon to the top to hang. This is the "On The Edge" collection.

So there.. now you have it...That my crafty friends.. is how I made this tag. :)  Whew.. that was NOT easy!! I mean.. the making it was but the explaining it was NOT!!  hehe

Now.. go get your crafty supplies out and make something!!! Remember.. you don't HAVE to buy things from ONLY the craft dept to use it on a project whether as a tool or embellie. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by. Come back to see the "LOVE" tag I have ready for ya next and wait till you see how EASY this was!! ;)
