Today is World Card Making Day and my sweet friend Jess Kinderstampo has an AWESOME give away and challenge on her blog. Don't forget to link your cards!!
When I told my lil guy about this, he wanted to make some cards. MOST of you know he is my lil crafter. He loves making flowers and playing with paper. So.. he decided on colors and I cut the papers for him and he was OFF... He made a card for daddy's birthday and mine!! He even told me he would tell me the "secret" to making better flowers. :) hehe.. So.. go grab your papers and make a card. While you are grabbing things.. go grab your kiddos. What a great way to spend time with them!!
The papers are all from my scraps!! So, I apologize for not knowing right off the companies they are from. The Stamp is from Kinderstampo Every day thoughts set. This set is so versatile and the font is amazing!! Enjoy the photos!!
He is as picky as I am when it comes to picking the RIGHT papers!! hehe
I hope you enjoyed the photos and remember.. crafting with your kids builds memories that will last a lifetime!! Happy World Card Making Day to all my crafty pals!!
Well, I've been in a wreath kinda mood lately and have been experimenting. Yesterday my kiddos and I took a lil ride to Michaels and Walmart and decided to get a few things. Well, we bought a few supplies with an idea in my head.. not even sure how it would come out. Anywho.. we got home and my daughter and I got to work. We made this gorgeous monogrammed wreath for my neighbors.
My neighbor LOVES it!!
We decided we would make a few more and sell them. The vine wreath is approx 11"X11". The monogram letter is protected with a sealant as to not peel right off. I have 3 available. Here are pics of the three I have.. only missing YOUR monogram..

Today is a special day for my sweet friend ZENI!!! She is such an awesome crafter and friend. I have been so blessed to have her in my life.
I made her a lil something, but sadly, she won't have it today. :( I will post a photo after she gets it. I DO have a card I made for her that I can share... even she is seeing it for the first time. :)

I am sooo excited to finally show you a corsage and boutonniere I made for a sweet friend, Jenny. Let's back this up a bit... A dear friend asked me to make her ONLY daughter's corsage for her first Homecoming. I was totally ELATED that she trusted me with this special project!! I know from having a daughter of my own, how special these occasions are and how PERFECT we want them to be. So, I was over joyed to have this task. Don't be fooled.. I was also VERY nervous!!! Talk about PRESSURE big time!!! I definitely had to make these and send them in case they weren't what my friend had in mind. I did just that!! So.. she sent me a photo of the dress.. I got what I needed and went to town... Let me say this.. the boutonniere was harder than the corsage!! I try to keep the same elements, but not make it look overly girlie..
Here is what I came up with...
Well, tonight was the BIG night and Emalie and Austin LOVED their corsage and boutonniere. Here they are looking AMAZINGLY gorgeous and handsome!!
Thank you so much Jenny for trusting me to make this for your daughter. It means soooo much to know that YOU have that much faith in me. It really means alot!! I am so excited you liked it Emalie.. :) You surely made it look good :)
Thank you all for stopping by. Hope to see ya soon..
So, most of you know our house is made of mine, his, and ours.. ( kiddos of course).. hehe.. Well, apparently the Middle Schools and High Schools are no longer giving the students agendas so I decided to make one. Yep, hubby's Middle School son HAS to have something to write his homework and tests in. This is what I came up with. I even added a multiplication table and weights and measures plus a folder in the back with a pocket. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out... considering it was a last minute idea. Hope you like it as well.
Recipe:
Plastic folder
Chipboard
DCWV Stack 6
Mod Podge
Cameo: cut letters
SU Card Stock
BIA and accessories
This was an EASY project once I got the info for the weights and the table. I made my own pages using MS Word so I could put his classes in order. He does change classes around Christmas time, so I made some with the boxes and lines and we can add the classes later. Yep, I thought ahead. :)
Today I have a wreath to show you that was totally inspired by Anna Fearer . She had a live Ustream one night and I was lucky enough to be online to watch her make one. She is so inspiring and very encouraging. Her hand sculpted flowers are so gorgeous most people mistake them for real flowers!! Be sure to check her out when you leave here. She also has an Etsy store where YOU can buy her flowers and she does special orders!! She has a link on her blog :)
So.. onto my wreath... I bought a Cameo a couple months ago ( finally.. LONGGG story as to why I didn't already have one... ) and have finally figured out SVG files. :) I purchased some from Scraptastical Creations and fell in LOVE!! She has TONS of them and they come in several different file formats. (She has sales at times too so be sure to bookmark her store) Anyways.. most of the flowers in my wreath are from her files. I'm sure you will love them as much as I do. anyways... here are a few photos of my wreath...
I hope you like it as much as I do. A very special lady in my life is getting this and she doesn't even know it!! I can't wait to give it to her.
Glad you could join us today. Sadly, this our last post for the Paper Hoarders Design Team for a bit. :( I just know that we WILL be back soon...
The challenge this week was to make a project that moved or shaked. Sooo many ideas popped into my head, but this idea was THE ONE.. Please visit the ladies' blogs and leave a little love. We are a couple short as they have illness and other issues going on that need their attention. Please send some prayers for them. These ladies mean alot to me and it pains me when their lives get interrupted by things out of their control. Ladies.. I am praying for you. Thank you for all you have done and I look forward to working with you again soon.
My card is a "Penny Slider Card". This is a rather old technique and quite fun and easy. Here is an easy to understand video tutorial.
Thank you again ladies for all you have done for Paper Hoarders. You will be greatly missed!! I can't wait till we can get it going again.. really soon I hope. Thank you to all the readers who visit and leave kind comments. It is really wonderful to be a part of such a wonderful community of crafters.. and non crafters too. ;)
Until next time...
As most of you know.. I am the type of mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend.. who takes tons of photos of everyone else.. EXCEPT ME!!! I know right.. surprise huh?? I am just not the "About Me" type...
Well, my Monday nights consist of usually a paint brush in hand.. or stylus rolling flowers.. watching Tracy Weinzapfel on USTREAM inspire as she creates masterpieces right before our eyes. Monday nights never get here fast enough!!! Anyways.. August Dare was to use a photo of our self on a project. Ouch.. I don't think I have any.. So, after searching high and low.. and cropping people out.. no cigar... So, my daughter decides.. hey, we will take one. Yea.. I was NOT amused, but I totally wanted to do this project!! I had an idea and was going to take the darn pic no matter what!!! The photo came out ok.. Hey, I am not the photogenic type..
So.. here is my masterpiece.
( I have close up photos but for some reason, Blogger is adding dark color strips on the bottom. I will add them when I can)
I made all my flowers and each symbolizes a person or group of people in my life.. my lace symbolizes the foundation of my marriage.. with the pearls being the good and bads that help keep us grounded and true to our love for each other.. the leaves are the years my wonderful hubby and I have been married ( next month I could have added another). I put the butterfly on wire so she would stand out. She symbolizes the freedoms and choices in our life and reminds us that we have so much to be grateful for.
Although this was a very BIG challenge for me.. I truly am glad I took it. Tracy inspires me so much and is a constant reminder that LIFE is what we make it. MY LIFE is in FULL BLOOM and I will enjoy the blossoms each and every day.
Thank you for visiting and I hope to see YOU Monday night @ 9pm EST HERE!!!!
Hello ya'll and welcome !!! (addy for card drive at bottom of post)
This is Nathan wearing his new kicks at the clinic. :)
I just wanted to take a few minutes to get ya an update on our lil Hero.. Nathan. :) I have started receiving cards and am sending out another box of cards and goodies today. He received the first box and him mom said he just loved it!
Nathan had another round of chemo on Aug 9th and while it hasn't been as bad as previous rounds, his appetite is far less than usual and can't stomach most smells. Please say a prayer for our little hero and his family. Prayers really do work.
Here are a few photos of some of the kiddos who helped make Nathan a card. These bring such HUGE smiles to my face... ( Photo heavy!! Hang on... )

My lil guy.. finding the perfect eye for his dino card.
I also made him an album to finish. It was big enough to add 70 plus photos. I thought this would be a perfect way to pass some time and also document his journey. How fun would it be to have his buddies hang out with him and add photos and stickers to his album!!! AWESOME!! Here is a short video I made of the book.
I also want to add the photos of the cool new kicks that were painted for him by the FABULOUS artists from Peach's Neet Feet . They are a remarkable group of people who work so hard to bring smiles to lil guys and gals. Click HERE to see how YOU can sponsor a child!!
Don't they just ROCK!!!! I know one little boy who will want to SLEEP with these cool shoes on!!! It is an amazing thing to see such wonderful people doing extraordinary things for others. I am so thankful I found Peach and was able to be a part of bringing a smile to a special little boy!!!
Thank you all for dropping by. If you are interested in sending a card for Nathan.. please send to:

Welcome to my blog!! Today is our Paper Hoarders DT day. The challenge was to make something.. in ONLY ONE HOUR!!!! That is very challenging to most of us. I see people post that they made 10 layouts one day and 4 cards.. and often wonder.... HOW THE HECK??? IT TAKES ME 2 DAYS TO MAKE ONE LAY OUT!!! So.. the challenge was born. Sometimes we get so caught up in detail and forget about the simple things... I hope you enjoy these projects and please visit their blogs (click on their names).
