First project of the year

Hey everyone!! Welcome back!! I totally HOPE to keep you coming back as I keep up with my blog. So, be ready for some projects as I work HARD to post regularly!!

Having said that... I did my first project of the New Year last night. We will go visit my husband's grandma today and I wanted to make her something special. I got the YourStory for Christmas and LOVE it!! It is soo easy and when paired with my Cricut... the possibilities are ENDLESS!!!   ( you don't have to use photos, you can cut cardstock and use that to make a book)

I used the Cuttlebug Swirls folder before I did anything!! As I was printing photos, I pulled out my DEAR friend, GYPSY, and started figuring out my design for the front. I used the Mother's Day 2010 solutions cartridge for the cuts. The ribbon is from My Favorite Things. I bought this ribbon OVER a year ago and am FINALLY using it. I used pop dots on the "grandma" to add extra dimension.

I hope I have inspired you to take the plunge. ;)  I do LOVE my YourStory and can see me using it OFTEN!!  ( teacher gifts, last minute gifts, etc)

So, what do you think of it?
